Alle vergessen immer Glorfindel :beanfeels:

Man könnte auch noch argumentieren, ob es nicht auch noch weitere namentlich nicht bekannte Elben gibt, die auch in den Jahren der Bäume in Valinor lebten. Gandalf deutet das an:

„And here in Rivendell there live still some of his chief foes: the Elven-wise, lords of the Eldar from beyond the furthest seas. They do not fear the Ringwraiths, for those who have dwelt in the Blessed Realm live at once in both worlds, and against both the Seen and the Unseen they have great power.“

Also neben Glorfindel scheint es noch weitere Elben in Rivendell zu geben, auf die das zutrifft. Man könnte überlegen ob das z.B. nicht auch für Gildor und sein Gefolge gilt. Es sind zumindest alles Noldor. Er sagt:

„Gildor Inglorion of the House of Finrod. We are Exiles, and most of our kindred have long ago departed and we too are now only tarrying here a while, ere we return over the Great Sea.“

Der ist noch aus VALINOR, echt? Ich dachte, nur der Glorfindel aus Gondolin wäre ein in Aman geborener gewesen. Aber vlt hab ich da was falsch verstanden, finde dazu jetzt aber auch nix eindeutiges.

Was den Abschnitt über Rivendell angeht - da bin ich mir nicht sicher, ob sich das nicht da drauf bezieht, dass diese Elbinnen und Elben eben von Leuten abstammen, die noch in Valinor waren und von dort ins Exil gingen. Ich meine, Lichtelben sind ja alle Noldor, egal ob in Mittelerde oder in Valinor geboren. Ach Tolkien, warum hast du so wenig erklärt…:D!

Tolkien hat mal geschrieben, dass der Glorfindel aus dem Ersten Zeitalter der selbe sein soll, wie der den wir aus HRd kennen.

An Elf who had once known Middle-earth and had fought in the long wars against Melkor would be an eminently suitable companion for Gandalf. We could then reasonably suppose that Glorfindel (possibly as one of a small party, more probably as a sole companion) landed with Gandalf - Olorin about Third Age 1000.

Im 2. Text wird das dann alles nochmal genauer erklärt udn er kommt schon im 2. Zeitalter, nach Mittelerde. Wäre aber zu viel das hier zu copy-pasten:

„No other major character in the Elvish legends as reported in The Silmarillion and The Lord of the Rings has a name borne by another Elvish person of importance.“

The Peoples of Middle-earth, Glorfindel (Glorfindel II)

Nach seinem Tod ist Glorfindel aber erlaubt worden in Aman zu leben, er hat einen neuen Körper bekommen (die Wiedergeburt hatte Tolkien wieder verworfen und es gibt also re-embodiment) und wurde durch seine noblen Taten auch mächtiger:

He then became again a living incarnate person, but was permitted to dwell in the Blessed Realm; for he had regained the primitive innocence and grace of the Eldar. For long years he remained in Valinor, in reunion with the Eldar who had not rebelled, and in the companionship of the Maiar. To these he had now become almost an equal, for though he was an incarnate (to whom a bodily form not made or chosen by himself was necessary) his spiritual power had been greatly enhanced by his self-sacrifice.

Er wurde dann, ähnlich wie die Istari, zurück nach Mittelerde gesandt ca. zweites Zeitalter 1200 - 1600:

„We may then best suppose that Glorfindel returned during the Second Age, before the ‚shadow‘ fell on Númenor, and while the Númenoréans were welcomed by the Eldar as powerful allies.“

Ein anderer Text nimmt darauf Bezug und erwähnt, dass die 2 Blauen Zauberer auch in dieser Zeit nach Mittelerde gekommen sind. Schon ganz interessant. Sind auch alles späte Texte von Tolkien, so 1958-1970.

PS: Gildor Inglorion ist auch ein super kompliziertes Thema. Gibt die Interpretation, dass er mal als Finrods Sohn gedacht war, etc und der Name Inglorion ist ein Überbleibsel davon. Finrod hieß in alten Versionen Inglor Felagund. Auch super kompliziert, besonders mit den Namen, weil Finarfin eine Zeit lang Finrod hieß :smiley:
