Noch ein Zusatzfakt, den ich gerade auf r/MapPorn gelesen habe.
Warum herrscht in Japan Linksverkehr:
During edo period, Many of the footpaths weaving through the cities were narrow. During this time most samurai wore their swords on their left hand side, providing easy access to their weapons with their typically stronger right hand. The combination of these two factors meant that if samurai swordsmen were to cross paths walking on the right-hand side of the footpath their swords would have crossed over and potentially bumped into each other causing inconvenience or injury. It simply made sense to both sick to the left side.

Ziemlich seltsame Erklärung, da Fußgänger bei Rechtsverkehr links gehen und bei Linksverkehr rechts.
Vom Zocken bekommt man doch nur rechteckige Augen 
wat
Was verstehst du daran nicht? Straße außerorts ohne Gehweg → Fußgänger muss links gehen.

Ja wegen den Autos und weil es so vorgeschrieben ist. Was hat das mit Fußgängern die aufeinander zulaufen zu tun? Auf Fußwegen läuft man doch trd eher rechts

Ja und was haben Samurai (Fußgänger!) mit Linksverkehr (Fahrzeuge!) zu tun? Genau das ist ja mein Punkt.
