Bevor es ins Wochenende geht, gibt es noch Mal gehörig auf’s Fressbrett. Während es in der Gruppe von Another World nur ein direktes Duell mit Puyo Puyo um den vierten Platz gab, musste sich Yoshi gleich mit 4 anderen Spielen um Platz 4 kabbeln, was es dem grünen Chameleon-Drachen schließendlich aufgrund seiner Vorrundenstimmen gelang.

Nicht kriegsentscheidend, bei Mystic Quest aber auch nicht ganz unwichtig, weil das Game Boy Spiel super ist, das SNES Spiel aber nur okay.

War damals schon echt eine Qual mit den Game Boy Alternativspielen und verschiedenen Namen in verschiedenen Regionen.

Hot Take: Sonic Spiele sind einfach keine guten Jump n Runs.

Geschwindigkeit ist einfach kein Plus bei Jump n Runs, wenn man dauernd in Wände und Gegner crasht, also die Level erst auswendig lernen muss, damit die Stärke des Spiels zum Tragen kommt.

Wann immer ich ein Sonic Spiel ausprobiert habe, dachte ich mir „joa, ich könnte jetzt auch Mario zocken und Spaß haben“. Außer Sonic Adventure. Das mochte ich irgendwie.

Die nächsten 8 Duelle haben ihr Ende gefunden. Besonders knapp ging es zwischen Micro Machines und Sonic the Hedgehog, bei welchem ersteres Sonic davon fuhr und im Staube zurück lässt. Auch ein erstes Mal. Ähnlich spannend ging es zwischen Street Fighter II und Final Fantasy IV, bei dem die finale Fantasie leider mit einem You Lose davonziehen musste.

Ergebnis Viertelfinale

Im ersten unserer heute ausgewerteten Duelle ging es Lemmings vs. Wonder Boy in Monster World, in welchem Masse über Klasse gewinnen konnte.

Das Duell The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past gegen Sid Meier’s Civilization konnte mit einer einzigen Einheit namens Link gewonnen werden. Er reiste einfach so weit in die Vergangenheit, dass er dem gerade ansiedelnden Civilization die Tonkrüge zerschlug.

Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge konnte sich gegen jeden Karateschlag der mutierten Schildkröten mit einem perfekt gespannten Seemansgarn herausziehen. Damit gehts zurück in die Kanalisation für Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time.

Als letztes zerprügelte Street Fighter II auch das letzte Auto aus Micro Machines und knackte dabei einen Highscore.

Damit geht es nun ins Halbfinale!
